How We Celebrate
School Program
Our Birthday Bags of Hope are our main missional outreach. These birthday bags are delivered each month filled with wonderful gifts to make a homeless child’s birthday special. We use the word “hope” in the description because that is what these bags bring to children who might not otherwise be celebrated on their special day. The following video provides additional information about our Birthday Workshop and our mission. Watch and enjoy!
BIRTHDAY BAGS OF HOPE
For homeless children not living in a shelter, we connect with the school district's homeless advocate. They share with us the name, age, gender, and birthday. We provide a large duffle bag, lap desk, toiletries, socks, wrapped gifts, a bible, and other essential items for each child. Placing everything into a duffel bag gives them something to keep their personal items in, and provides privacy for them. Everything is delivered to the child by the school's homeless advocate.
Shelter Program
SHELTER BIRTHDAY BAGS
Our birthday celebrations begin with a connection with the shelters that we serve. They share with us who is celebrating their birthday the following month, and provide us with a wish list. We thoughtfully choose gifts and essential items for the birthday gifts. It is our goal to create pure excitement and joy for these children. Some of these children have never had “their” day celebrated.
Our agency partners
Little Birthday Angels partners with agencies across the Treasure Coast of Florida. Our programs serve babies, young children and teens living in homeless shelters, transitional housing facilities and domestic violence shelters. We currently serve children associated with the following agencies:
